Appointments
Our appointment book is computerized, which allows us to efficiently and quickly make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted during our business hours for established clients; however, we recommend calling ahead to speak with our front desk staff to ensure one of our veterinarians are immediately available. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or head to the closest emergency veterinary clinic.
Emergency & Urgent Care
We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty six days a week who are trained and equipped to handle an urgent care your pet has. Usually, an emergency team consists of at least one veterinarian and several technicians working together to provide care especially in potential life-saving situations. Emergencies can be things such as accidental ingestion of rat poison, hit by car, and chocolate ingestion. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, our veterinarians may be able to work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. Please contact our front desk to see if we are able to care for your pet immediately or if it is recommended for you to seek care at an emergency facility.

Our veterinarians at Elkridge Animal Hospital only see dogs and cats at this time. If you have another type of pet that needs care, feel free to contact our front desk for information for a possible referral.
